Neo Psychiko is located 5 km northeast of central Athens, between Kifisias Avenue to the northwest and Mesogeion Avenue to the southeast.

It serves as the local market for its residents and for neighbouring areas such as Paleo Psychiko and Filothei. For this reason, Neo Psychiko is a lively neighbourhood with many restaurants, cafes, and shops. The area also serves as a small business hub, as many companies and professionals are located in the area.

At the same time however, Neo Psychiko maintains a neighborhood feel and is still the area of choice for many families thanks to its quiet, tree-lined streets, small parks, schools, and sports facilities.
